Study shows leg strength results in improved cognitive health

Another study, in 2015, involving identical twins, the results also showed a strong link between leg strength and healthier cognitive ageing…

Using MRI scans, the researchers observed brain-wide improvements, extending beyond the hippocampus to other regions.

Growing evidence suggests that physical activity enhances the body’s communication networks and promotes neurogenesis—the creation of new neurons within the brain.
