Overeating study shows reasons behind many weight problems. The study was run by PREDICT, the largest nutritional research programme in the world, headed up by global scientists – from Harvard Medical School, the University of Nottingham, Lund University in Sweden, and others.
It explained why some people find it harder to lose weight than others.
The study analysed the blood sugar responses of 1,070 people. They ate standardised breakfasts and their own choice of meals for the rest of the day for a period of two weeks.
Previous studies had looked at blood sugar responses in the hours immediately after meals but this study tracked these for longer – shedding light on why some people struggle to lose weight.
