The week study involved health system employees in the States…
140 participants between the ages of 18 and 64 years with chronic lower back pain with an intensity measuring at least 4 on a standardised 11-point scale (using the 23-point modified Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire)…
For 12 weeks, the participants attended a virtual 60-minute hatha yoga class…
At the end of the 12 weeks, the group in the yoga group had less pain intensity than the control group…
And at 24 weeks, they still scored better than their non-yoga counterparts…
